Since Reg Holloway’s book, The Evolution and Demise of the Larger Format Press Camera, was published in October 2008, he has had many requests for articles, has spoken at club events and been contacted by many individuals with questions about classic press cameras. Older photographers have been keen to talk about the cameras they used and the techniques they followed. They have been able, through personal experience, to confirm and expand on much of the history in the book. Students and many others interested in photography – early, modern, digital or whatever – have also had questions to ask.
